Application Information

This application is for visual artists.

Thank you for your interest in SaratogaArtsFest, June 6-9, 2013. Applications will be accepted online and will be used to gather information for review by the Programming Coordinators.

Applications will be accepted until February 1, 2013. Letters of notification will be sent to artists by March.

Use of the online application is required. Supporting materials may be sent to: SaratogaArtsFest, PO Box 451, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.

APPLICATION AND SELECTION PROCESS

Overview: SaratogaArtsFest, now in its seventh year, is committed to strengthening cultural tourism in the Saratoga Region, and establishing Saratoga Springs, New York, as a premier arts destination through a dynamic and high quality showcase of the arts. The selection of artists for the four day festival will include local, national, and international artists representing a wide range of disciplines as well as school and community groups.

Selection Process: The selection of artists is competitive and decisions will be made by a team of highly skilled arts professionals. Consideration is given to balancing the demands and availability of venues, audience appeal, budget, quality, and scheduling requirements.

Visual Artist Opportunities at SaratogaArtsFest

ARTIST PROMOTION

All artists, organizations, and groups participating in SaratogaArtsFest will be featured in festival publications and promoted through ArtsFest publicity efforts wherever feasible.

SALE OF ARTWORK

SaratogaArtsFest will provide the opportunity to visual artists to offer artwork for sale. A 20% commission on each piece sold will go to SaratogaArtsFest.

YES!

YES! - Youth Experiencing SaratogaArtsFest - is a collaboration of SaratogaArtsFest, local school districts, and a number of other schools in the area. This program is designed to make the arts more accessible to young people and to encourage families to attend the festival together.

As part of YES!, SaratogaArtsFest will give away Admission Packages to local students in elementary, middle and high school. Students who wear their YES! admission pass will be admitted “backstage” at select events.
