The Saratoga Film Forum honors Saratoga's venerable art colony, Yaddo, and the support it has given to a generation of screen writers and directors. Writer-director Alan Brown's love of movement informs every frame of his new film. Five gifted young dancers rehearse five works in a Soho loft and their tribulations in the big city are the back drop for this brilliantly nuanced piece. The protagonist is a shy 18-year-old Kansas country boy who steps off the bus into the fierce competitiveness of a modern dance company, where, ultimately, he finds love, family, and the truest friendship. Screening followed by a Q&A with director Alan Brown.
